Highline Medical Center Laboratory has state of the art equipment and testing methods. Services
are offered in the following specialties:
- Hematology
- Serology
- Immunohematology
- Coagulation
- Routine Chemistry

- Pathology
- Cytology
Registered medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians perform
all testing. Three pathologists provide the laboratory medicine services
and are board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. The lab is
inspected by the College of American Pathologists, licensed by the Washington
State Department of Health and accredited by JCAHO.
The lab serves as a gateway to local and national laboratory services
through referral testing to other labs such as:

- Nichols Institute
- Seattle King Co Health Department
- Mayo Medical Laboratories
- University of Washington

Please visit our primary outpatient draw site on 160th St. a block from Highline Medical Center. Highline Diagnostics at 160th offers convenient parking, quick service, highly trained phlebotomy staff and easy handicap access into the building. No appointment is needed for most tests. Patients instructed to have fasting tests should abstain from eating for 8-12 hours prior to testing. Only water should be taken. Regular medication should be taken on time, unless instructed by the physician.
