Library Online Catalog
Planetree Health Library
The Planetree Health Library contains a wide variety of materials on health
topics. There are books at every level of complexity, from children's
books and books written for the layperson to professional textbooks, in
every major medical specialty. Though some books are designated "Reference,"
most of the books in the Planetree Health Library may be borrowed for
two weeks.
We subscribe to a variety of health periodicals, newsletters, and professional
journals which are available for use in the library. We also have a specialized
internet program that contains information from popular health periodicals,
selected professional medical journals and newspapers. Much of this information
is available in full text and can be printed out in the library from this
web site.
The library also has access to MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine's
index to biomedical literature. There is a growing collection of videotapes
on health topics and clipping files that contain articles organized in
an easy-access subject arrangement for patrons to browse and read if they
wish.
